The first in willing to take intelligent risk. The opposite of CYA. An organization that allows intelligent risk allows mistakes or failures. However most organizations frown upon even the smallest failure or mistake draining the company of courage.
The second area of courage is within the managers responsibility. Dealing with the unpleasant challenge instead of sweeping it under the rug or ignoring it with the hope that it will go away.
